What is culture? What is my culture?
CULTURE- the quality in a person or society that arises from a concern for whatis regarded as excellent in arts, letters, manners, scholarly pursuits, etc.
Here is how I see American Culture, American's are very strong believers in equality and independence. One can expect very different people in each and every state, in Alabama people are referred to as Rednecks in rural areas. In Alabama, Huntsville is one of the most modern cities here, its also known as "Rocket City" because of our NASA space program.
I have experienced quite a culture shock on a few different trips I've taken outside of the United States. Half of my family/relatives live and are from Turkey, Europe. I have visited Turkey three times and it is quite a shock in how different life is over there than here. I've also experienced culture shocks in other places I've visited such as Spain, Germany, and Italy. Life is very different all around the world.
